Chinese Environment

This guide explains how to set up the Chinese language environment on your device.

Note on Chinese Language Support

Full Chinese language support is not available throughout the entire system. Some system options and UI elements may still appear in English.

Configure Chinese Language

To set up a Chinese language environment, you first need to change the system language to Chinese.

① : Click on System Settings

② : Click on Regional Settings

③ : Change the language

Set the Language to Simplified Chinese:

① : Change language

② : Select Simplified Chinese

③ : Apply the language changes

After changing the language, you'll need to restart the system for the changes to take effect. Before doing so, let's also set the time to Beijing Time.

Configure Time Zone

Change the system time to Beijing Time (UTC+8).

① : Select Date & Time in Regional Settings

② : Choose Time Zone option

③ : Select Asia/Shanghai as the time zone

After configuring the Chinese language and time zone, restart your system by entering the following command in the terminal:

sudo reboot
