Power Supply

The ROCK 5B supports USB Type-C PD 2.0 at 9V/2A, 12V/2A, 15V/2A and 20V/2A.

tip

Radxa recommends using the Radxa Power PD30W.

Boot media

ROCK5B can boot from microSD Card , EMMC Module, M.2 NVME SSD, you can choose one from them

The capacity of them should be at least 8GB.

ROCK 5B has an Ethernet port for network access via Ethernet; ROCK 5B has an M.2 E Key connector with 2230 mounting holes on the front side of the motherboard, which provides PCIe 2.1 single-channel, USB, SATA, SDIO, PCM, and UART signals, and supports the industry standard M.2 WiFi 6 module.
If you want to access the Internet through a wireless module, Radxa recommends using the Radxa Wireless A8. The interface specification of the Radxa Wireless A8 is M.2 2230 E. Install it on the M.2 E port of the ROCK 5B and set up a wifi network to access the Internet. Please refer to Network Settings for details.

Monitor (Optional)

For monitors with HDMI connectors, the ROCK 5B has two HDMI output ports, both of which support CEC and HDMI 2.1 with resolutions up to 8Kp60 and 4Kp60 respectively, and its Type-C connector can also support video output. In addition, the ROCK 5B has one HDMI input port that supports HDMI 2.1 input with a resolution of 4Kp60.

Type-C Hub (Optional)

Used to extend the USB port interface, can be connected to devices such as USB mouse, USB keyboard and so on.
